I learned so much from that first school newspaper.
Meeting deadlines, editorial cartooning, layout, etc.
My first cartooning award was for an editorial cartoon I did during my senior year. The LA Times did an award sort of deal for students journalists.
And Mrs. Arretche’s support will never be forgotten.
I really gotta’ see if any local papers need an editorial cartoonist.
