I have heard way too many people defend an all white cast, by saying, “it’s just set in a time and place where there wasn’t too much diversity”.

Historical movies, sure, I can understand wanting to peer into the madness of the archaic past. But when it’s an ENTIRELY fictional story, social atrocities can be changed.
