Been Better

This was such a weird strip to work on.

First, there’s all of the details of the concession stand that I wanted to get right, from when I originally drew it. So I had to scroll through a bunch of my old strips.

Then there was recreating that circle lighting that I was apparently in love with back then.

But the weirdest part was writing that last panel. Russ originally just said “fire”. I changed it because I suddenly realized that we are in a theater and there’s a well known phrase about not being able to say that word. So it was just going to end with “f-word”. But then I heard my character guess what word Russ didn’t want to say and I just had to add it.
