Clowns are awful at keeping records.
I tried to find a photo of Bill Bailey (Baily?) and could only find a drawing of them. But I think that their design is based on the Sealtest Big Top clown. A show that Bailey was on, but that clown isn’t them.
If I find an actual image of them in the future, I’ll edit this strip.
