I was in argument about the protesters at the airport, protesting the Trumpy’s Muslim ban.
them: “They shouldn’t be obstructing the travel plans of the people at the airport!”
me: “Agreed! The officials detaining people should stop what they’re doing, obstructing their travel plans!”
them: “I mean, the protesters. They shouldn’t be protesting at the airports. Take it to the streets!”
me: “What….like blocking traffic? Sold! I’m willing to do that too!”
them: “Blocking traffic? No! I meant like on the sidewalks”
me: “Blocking businesses? Sure, which businesses would you like us to block?”
Basically people who don’t agree with the protests would rather have the protests be somewhere that can easily be ignored.
Which goes against the whole point of a protest.
