It’s been a while since I’ve done one of my previous employment strips.
There were so many memories that I thought about drawing for my time at Quillen Park. The one that kept coming up was when the security guards recruited me to make a perimeter around a forgotten bag because I couldn’t remember how long it had been on a bench. That was fun.
But the chosen memory was probably the most stressful moment I’ve ever been through. It’s really not easy talking to a 911 operator when a mom is yelling at you. Actually, I have only ever dialed 911 while working at Quillen Park.
I can’t remember if the kid was climbing on the rocks or if he was swinging on the railing. But I do remember telling them not to do that and not being surprised when he got hurt because they didn’t listen to me.
