This is a response to the “Donation Threat” strip that can be seen HERE.
And the fact that, according to the Jen’s CHOC site, Grimaldi donated a huge chunk of money. Despite dying in 1837.

This was a fun comic to work on. (Except for having to look at old images of Joseph Grimaldi)

I’ve drawn Grimaldi out of his costume before (HERE). So I made sure to go back and keep the features consistent.

Jimmy of Earth-89 leaped into Grimaldi in the strip that can be seen HERE.

And then there was deciding who should be asking the question in panel 2. I chose Thomas John Dibdin. The writer of The Talisman; or, Harliquin Made Me Happy. A pantomime that starred Joseph Grimaldi in 1796.
